Branchport United Methodist Church

Living in Love and Harmony

If you are looking for a church home we would sincerely hope that you will join us some Sunday as we together travel and accept the challenges of discipleship and witness to the whole world of this wondrous love of Jesus Christ.
Join us for Sunday Morning Service in person at 10:45am.

November 24, 2023

Christmas time offers us a great opportunity to embrace the love that has been offered to us by God. We honor that gift as we celebrate the birth of a baby born of the Virgin Mary. Many of you may agree with me that time goes by all too quickly. Mixed with the good days are the bad days, amidst the chaos, peace can be found, and in the darkness, light always shines for those who believe.

Amongst the love that has been poured down upon us are those who we are missing in our lives. The family and loved ones who have gone on ahead to Heaven have had an impact on our lives. Now is the time to share their light this holiday season. The lights displayed upon our Memorial Tree on the lawn of Branchport United Methodist Church at Christmas time remind us that those who have gone before us, left their mark not only upon our hearts but on the world around us.  We have the joy and privilege to shine their light in the darkness and show the world that we all have the opportunity to make a difference. This tradition of our church is one that brings about hope to our community and all who drive past our little church in the valley.

If you would like to honor someone by lighting a bulb, just send a donation of $2.00 (or your desired amount) per name to: Branchport UMC, c/o Dave Thorn, Financial Secretary, P.O. Box 2, Keuka Park, NY 14478, with the name(s) of your loved ones and who is honoring them. Your memorial will be used in the ministry and mission of Branchport UMC as we carry on the work of those who have gone before us.

Any questions may be directed to Dave Thorn (315-744-4559).

You may use the form below to send memorial names.

Our Christmas Eve Candlelight service will be held at 7 pm in person or via ZOOM (Meeting ID: 480 450 6145 Passcode: 1234)

Please join us as you feel comfortable and contact Pastor Kim at 585-857-7962 with any questions.

May God Bless your Advent and Christmas Seasons,
